Wild Yam & Tallow Cream
We built this one from the ground up around a simple idea: your body already knows how to find balance. It just needs the right support.
Sacred Balance blends grass-fed, grass-finished tallow with infused wild yam (Dioscorea villosa) — a nutrient-dense, plant-powered formula designed to work with your skin, not just sit on top of it. Available in two essential oil blends, Clary Sage and Geranium, as well as Unscented.
Why Tallow + Wild Yam?
Rich in skin-identical fats and vitamins A, D, E & K — nourishing the skin barrier and helping the body absorb what’s applied to it.
Wild yam contains diosgenin, a plant compound traditionally used to support the body’s own progesterone pathways — not by acting as a hormone itself, but by giving the body what it needs to help regulate estrogen and progesterone balance naturally. It’s traditionally reached for during PMS, perimenopause and menopause, and some also use it to support healthy testosterone levels. Paired with tallow’s fatty, skin-identical base, it becomes highly bioavailable — applied topically, absorbed systemically.
Also Infused With
- ·Chaste tree berry (Vitex agnus-castus) and Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis) — traditional herbs long used to support hormonal rhythm.
- ·Yarrow — soothing and balancing for the skin.
- ·A nourishing base of cold-pressed olive and jojoba oils.
What It May Help Support
- Easing PMS symptoms, hot flashes and mood swings
- More predictable, balanced cycles
- Deep hydration for dry or sensitive skin
- Gentle, natural hormone support — no synthetics involved

Key Ingredients
Handcrafted in small batches locally in Dungog with the following ingredients (50ml jar):
Our tallow is rich in fat-soluble vitamins and minerals like Vitamin A, D, E, K2, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B3, Omega 3s, and stearic acid. Stearic acid is known for its moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties.
The heart of this formula. Contains diosgenin, a plant compound traditionally used to support the body's own progesterone pathways — helping the body regulate estrogen and progesterone balance naturally. Traditionally reached for during PMS, perimenopause and menopause.
One of the best-loved herbs in Western herbalism, and a natural partner to wild yam in this formula. Also known as the chaste tree or monk's pepper, its small purple-flowering shrub has been used traditionally for centuries to support hormonal rhythm — particularly where cycles feel irregular, heavy or unsettled in the lead-up to a period. It's a gently working herb, traditionally taken over several weeks and reached for through PMS and the perimenopausal years to help the body find its own balance. Here it works alongside wild yam and dong quai, each supporting a different part of the same rhythm.
Often called "female ginseng", dong quai is one of the most respected herbs in traditional Chinese medicine, where it has been used for well over a thousand years. It's traditionally taken to support healthy menstrual cycles and ease the changes that come with menopause. A warming, blood-nourishing herb, it works alongside wild yam and chaste tree berry to support hormonal rhythm and overall wellbeing — a balancing counterpart rather than a herb that acts alone.
Yarrow is a humble wildflower with a long reputation as a skin herb — traditionally used to calm, tone and clarify, and to soothe irritated or unhappy skin. It's mildly astringent, which helps refine the look of the skin's surface, and it has traditionally been used to support the skin's own healing. Here it rounds out the formula, keeping the blend gentle and balanced.
The polyphenols found in our cold-pressed olive oil have antimicrobial properties, that maintain skin hydration and elasticity and help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Our organic jojoba oil has anti-aging properties, and it's a perfect addition for sensitive skin.
Organic beeswax is rich in Vitamin A, which is essential for skin cell regeneration and repair.
How to Use
- Apply daily: Smooth a pea-sized amount onto thin-skinned areas — wrists, inner arms, or neck — where absorption is easiest.
- Three weeks on, one week off: Use daily for 3 weeks, then take a week off — a simple rhythm that helps your body settle into the routine.
- Give it time: Herbal and hormonal support works gradually. Most people notice changes over several weeks of consistent use.
- Store: Keep the jar capped in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Storage & Usage
Handcrafted in small batches, our products naturally last 6–12 months when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Apply to the skin with clean, dry hands as often as needed.
What to Expect
Because we use pure, organic ingredients and no synthetic stabilisers, every handcrafted batch is naturally its own — colour, texture and scent can shift subtly with the seasons and temperature. That small change is the signature of a truly natural product, and it never affects how well it works.
Sensitive Skin
Real skincare should be gentle enough for everyone. If you have sensitive or reactive skin — or new to tallow — we always recommend a quick patch test on a small area first, then wait 24 hours before your first full use.
A gentle note: Everyone’s body responds differently, and this isn’t a replacement for medical care. Sacred Balance is a natural, plant-and-tallow option for anyone looking to support their hormonal health from the outside in. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication, please check with your healthcare practitioner first.
